Planet82 plans to show off imaging sensors at CES next week that allow full color, high-res digital pictures or videos to be taken in the dark, without flash. Using their Single Carrier Modulation Photo Detector nanotechnology (whew), these sensors are 2000 times more sensitive to light and enable everything digital to capture an image in low light. They plan to demo the technology in Closed-Circuit Television and night-vision automobile applications. This might be an interesting demo, I wonder about the noise in the image. I shoot a lot of low light stuff and would love to see a camera using this type of technology to allow more light in, but not produce tons of noise.CES Watch: Sensors allow imaging in the dark
