2. To be completely honest I wish it looked more like the Arri D20 (i.e. a more conventional looking cine camera). But there is a certain flare the RED has which is cool. There is also no doubt the specs are what really rock.
And if this camera is really as modular as the RED team have been trying to make it, then it doesn't matter what it looks like. It will become more beautiful the more you use it. Sometimes beauty comes from function.

3. When I saw the RED web site for the first time a few days ago the first thing I thought (when I caught my breath again) is that this thing looks more than a bit menacing... forget about aiming this at impromptu documentary subjects--it would look like you're brandishing a gun. And I've already been stopped by museum security guards, flight attendants, airport security, etc. just for my still camera set-up... I can imagine trying to fly with this thing as your carry-on... be prepared for some extra (but well worth it) hassle... But hey, I'll take my chances!
