It seems like the movie mashup has become something of a genre over the past year or so, with continuous, hilarious and very well-executed spoofs on classic films like The Shining, which suddenly became a lighthearted family comedy with some sneaky editing and appropriate narration. Or my own favorite spoof, 8 1/2 Mile, which spins 8 1/2 and transforms the film into a gangster rap drama. Anyway, the latest mashup Scary Mary puts a spooky twist on Mary Poppins, turning the children's film into something like a modern day horror movie. Again, all it takes it some creative editing, some appropriately moody music, and viola! Instant mashup classic. Check it out!
