Conduit is a nodal compositor that sits inside of Apple's Motion 2, providing video compositors with a flow-chart approach to building effects. Instead of dealing with traditional layers, users can rely on nodes to apply different operations. It is a very different methodology to approaching compositing, and the feature can be found in other applications such as Shake and Discreet Combustion. For $199, you can give nodal compositing a go in Motion with dvGarage's Conduit.(via finalcutpronews)

1. Tried this yesterday - awesome, and works as advertised. It's very fast, and the nodes make sense (most of the time). It'd be nice if you could use any Motion FXplug filter in the tree (perhaps you can? Didn't see that...). This is perfect for making composites or extracting pretty much anything from video. I can see how this could save a lot of layers and speed things up.
Does it supercede the DVMatte filter? It seems to obviate the need for it.
Looks worth the money if you do any compositing work.
