Online Video Sharing quality comparison

Life Goggles takes a look at the various viewing quality levels between the major video sharing sites. All of these sites use flash movie codec but use different bitrates. Sites like Youtube, Google Video, Blip TV, Vimeo and Revver. All together eight sites are compared. Daily Motion, iFilm, MySpace are missing from the fray. To my eyes, Blip TV and Soapbox are the best.

Transfer settings don't make a site popular as clearly evident with YouTube's image quality. YouTube rocks in the social networking aspect. No one is even remotely close to them in that.

4. I must say that this comparison you show here is very rough.
'To my eyes' is a very subjective rule for coparison.
You should have at least set all embedded players to use the same viewing window size. The bigger the viewing picture is the more digitalization
you can see in the picture.
The smaller viewing size players use this to give a feeling of better pictures quality. They might also decrease the frame rate which is harder to spot.

I know there are many more video sharing providers and I am sure that the current ones will also upgrade/update there current quality so that this test will need re doing every few months at least.
