(Page 1)2. $17,500 is for the Red camera body alone. A more fair comparison to the F900 would have to include some sort of recording media and lens(es). Some have estimated a full Red rig to run upwards of $30K. I'm not knocking the Red camera, as it's a steal for what it does/will do at ANY price under $50K. Just be aware of how much realistic initial investment will be required to be up and shooting with Red.

1. Wow... I can't wait for this camera to come out. I didn't pre-order it though because I didn't want to take risks with a first-gen model, but I'm pretty sure I'll buy the second-gen one.
I also want to see what other manufacturers do when this comes out. At $17,500, that makes it less than 1/5th of the cost of the Sony F900.
