Sometime in July, JVC released the GY-HD-100U, an HDV camcorder with a fairly impressive feature set aimed at professionals. JVC has now made several notable improvements and released the follow-up, the HD-200U. The updated model features three 1/3" CCDs and 720/24p / 25p / 30p / 50p / 60p recording capabilities, an interchangeable lens, and the ability to use the new HZ-CA13U lens adapter, which allows for the mounting of 16mm lenses. Available by the end of this month, the HD-200U will ship for $7,995 (body only), or $8,995 with a 16x Fujinon lens. The HZ-CA13U will ship in December at an MSRP of $4,395.(via Digital Camcorder News)
