Leave it up to those wacky folks at Time Magazine to name YouTube as the invention of the year. Apparently a site for hosting and sharing videos of foolish acts beat out a vaccine that fights STDs and a shirt that simulates the embrace of a love one. What a time we live in. I guess YouTube did have a thing or two to spur this online video bonanza, but what does this say about our society by honoring entertainment over curing disease? What about the company who advertises with Abe Lincoln and a beaver? Those ads (especially the billboards) crack me up. Someone should put them on YouTube...
