The Criterion Collection puts out the classiest and highest quality DVD releases. Period. (I had to get that out of my system.) Anyway, the esteemed company has started up their very own blog, Take Five, where you can get the latest scoop on the company itself and the people who keep the fine-tuned machine running smoothly. They have always been a bit of a mysterious, enigmatic bunch to me, so it's refreshing to see some of the employees themselves come out and talk about some things. (The first post with its small bit of behind the scenes CC history is pretty neat, for example; they operate with a mere 40 employees.) Anyway, check it out. And geez, check out their DVDs if you haven't been doing so already. The Criterion Collection launches blog

1. I was very excited to hear this - I love Criterion. However, readers can neither post comments nor subscribe to the feed (I dug in the source code, it's password-protected - why?).
Frankly, it isn't a blog if readers can't comment or subscribe to the feed. That's pretty much the only way I (and surely other readers) can keep track of all these sites.
It sounds like their new to the blogging thing - I wish they would embrace it wholeheartedly as a medium.
