Preview of Intel's first Quad-core chip

Intel Quad-coreTime to get a little technical. Intel is set to roll out it's first quad-core chip on November 14th and bit-tech.net got to put it through it's benchmarks. The main benefit of this new top of the line chip is the multi-tasking performance. Now having your entire Adobe suite open and running at once may not seem like such an impossible task. Of course, if you are not using multi-processor aware apps, don't bother, as you will be paying more than you're getting out of it. In the coming months expect to see more quad-core chips offering more performance to content creators who could always use more "umph" in their CPU case. Could Apple be getting ready to release new Mac Pros?
