this is a rare treat for you Media 100 fans. We have two big now shipping announcements in one day. This is really more an all-encompassing announcement from Artel Software regarding the line. All Media 100 software is now shipping version 11.5, including the software-only version mentioned in a previous post. New features like FireWire I/O, P2 Support, HD editing, come standard.

High end media 100 packages are pricey, but definitely offer some added value. Extended features are available through 3rd party video capture cards, and the software has a built in Boris Red 3D compositing tool. As with the previous post, look for the entire Media 100 11.5 line to go Intel Mac in January of 2007.
