That was quick, this camera was announced yesterday! I got to say reading this review and watching the footage, I am mighty impressed, Sony seems to have done a lot of right things with the HVR-V1U. However, I didn't realize that there is no built-in microphone with this camera. And though we all have our shotgun or lav's, it is always nice to have the extra built-in mic (the US version ships with a shotgun mic). Anyways, the Super Slomo record feature sounds cool and intriguing. The biggest plus, of course, is the 24p recording capabilities of this camera. The footage is very pretty but I figure any para-sailing footage from a beautiful sunny day should be. p.s. Canon seems to be getting edged out of the market in this price range.
