Sony 24P HVR-H1U HDV camcorder announced

Sony HVR-H1U
Sony has announced a true 24P camcorder aimed at professionals. Going the HVX-200 route, you can record simultaneously to tape and/or an attachable hard-disk recording unit (HVR-DR60). The DR60 also has a 14-second buffer which will record 14-seconds up until the user presses the record button. That sounds handy. Other features of this new camcorder include:
  • A timecode preset function
  • A TC Link to synchronize time codes
  • Two XLR microphone inputs for independent sound recording
  • A Camera Profile feature to adjust the camera settings of multiple cameras for multi-camera operations using MemoryStick Duo™ media
  • A 3.5-inch (viewable area, measured diagonally) Clear Photo LCD plus™ viewing screen
Expect to see the HVR-H1U and HVR-DR60 to be available in December for $4,800 and $1,800 respectively. See more at CamcorderInfo.com
