IBC: RED galore

RED is one step closer to taking over the universe. The highly anticipated first RED ONE 4K footage has been publicly screened, and the results are in:

"...I got to see the full res, projected at 4K footage...and expletive free words cannot describe how good it looked. Really." - Mike of HDforIndies.

Mike has posted a boatload of RED musings in which he analyzes different aspects of camera: details on the first official IBC screening, in-depth hardware details, Redcine software (application for reading RED video data) information, and REDCODE RAW codec thoughts.

And, the RED footage is now available for viewing... on YouTube, nonetheless. This is, of course, totally NOT ideal for experiencing RED's true image quality, but I guess it will have to suffice for now.

Also, be sure to check out these images of the camera itself straight from the RED booth. Additionally, check out what users have to say at DVXUser's RED forum.
