IBC 2006: Media 100... they're sure trying

Continuing their resurrection into the video editing scene, Media 100 today announced they have qualified Convergent Design HD-Connect SI for their new Media 100 editing solutions. The HD-Connect SI coupled with the Media 100 NLEs allow users to control their HDV device and perform batch captures for offline/online workflows.

"Media 100 is aggressively pursuing relationships with manufacturers who can expand and enhance the capabilities of the version 11 systems at a rapid pace," comments Rob Newman, product manager, Media 100.


They also announced the certification of the Fibrenetix Qubex desktop storage solution for their new Media 100 editing solutions

Media 100 is also scheduled to introduce additional functionality and workflow enhancements with their next release, version 11.5. Highlights include:
  • support for firewire devices
  • support for P2 cameras
  • support for SDI audio for the Media 100 HDX hardware
  • improved Boris Red, BorisFX and Graffiti integration with faster rendering
