Stu Maschwitz is a filmmaker and self-proclaimed "accidental technologist" who has previously helped create The Orphanage, Magic Bullet, and eLin. He also has a book in the works that will hit shelves in early November titled The DV Rebel's Guide: An All-Digital Approach to Making Killer Action Movies on the Cheap. Er, that (exhausting) title pretty much sums it up, but you can check out his blog and the status of his book as the release date draws near. Sounds like it will be worth pursuing for all the DIY-ers out there.
