A while ago there was a site called WeeklyDV.com which gave you a theme and it was your job to make a short video about it. Unfortunately, the idea was ahead of it's time for the biggest problem was uploading and hosting the video clips. But today I am proud to inform you that DVGuru.com will pick up the slack and host a WeeklyDV-like contest of our own. Here is how it will work:- We give you a word or theme or object (for this contest = GREEN) and you come up with a short film reflecting the idea.
- You will have two weekends to shoot, edit, and post the video link to the comments section of this post.
- Upload your video to YouTube or Google Video, or anything that we can easily copy the embed code for sharing.
- Be sure to leave your name with your video link so we can give you credit.
- I will go through them and pick a winner.
Word: Green
Due Date: Monday, August 7th (two weekends to work)
Winners will be announced soon thereafter.
Prizes? This is just a test run to see what kind of reaction we get, so no prizes this time. Maybe in the future but I make no promises.
Time limit? The shorter the better I suppose, but there really is no hard time limit to speak of.
