Iomega had it so good back in the day (10 years ago I think), everybody in graphics or editing used Zip disks. But Iomega lost the plan: new Zips disks could not be used in older ones, Iomega couldn't keep up with DVD's in storage space but the biggest pain was that only Iomega made the disks so the prices never got cheaper while DVD/CD prices dropped and continue to drop. The Rev is a younger, better version of Zip (there was Jaz in between). A lot more space than DVD's or even Hi-Def DVD's with 70GB storage space. And unlike DVD's, you can rewrite and treat the media just like a drive. Iomega seems to have a learned a lesson from its past as the new drives utilize "the same ruggedized, removable, 2.5-inch 70GB REV disks as well as backward read/write compatibility with first-generation REV 35GB disks." The new drives cost $599 with each disk costing $69. This is a very useful product, an ideal back-up solution. I hope Iomega's policies continue to get better because its policies saddle their great products.

1. if this was 2-3 years ago this would be a little better, now iomega can't keep up with hard drive space. whats worse is that for the first 70GB it costs 670$!!! this comment was typed without checking out the iomega specs though, but still
