I don't mind Apple selling a verion of Quicktime but when they shelve features like full screen, it gets to be annoying and petty. Macworld has a great tip to get around the problem. A simple Applescript opens up the feature, it not only plays the video in full screen but it also gives you all the cool controls. If you have never run an Applescript before, here is how you do it: go to applications> Applescript> open script editor> type in the exact text in Macworld tip> Save it as an application or script. I chose script as I can store it in my scripts folder in my menu bar. Voila! So open your movie in Quicktime, then run the script and the movie will play in full screen.Full screen for free
