- Gnash (Linux) – A open-source Flash player for Linux users who
cannot do with Adobe's version. (Free)
- Imageplay (Mac,
Windows) – Open source image editor. (Free)
- MrDrum (Mac) – A simple, user friendly drum machine,
using QuickTime drum kit to play drums. Planning to check it out myself. (Free)
- Synfig (Cross-platform) – Open-sourced application for creating film-quality
animation. Very promising application. (Free)
- DeepBurner (PC) – AstonSoft offers both a Pro and a Free
version of their DeepBurner CD and DVD burning software. The free version allows you to do most anything you would want
to do with data CDs, but is not able to burn video DVDs, do disk-to-disk copying (although you can copy disks by first
creating an image then burning the image), or burn photo CD/DVD albums. (Pro $24.95)
