With the release of the Panasonic HVX200 still set for December, more bits of information about the camera are becoming public and with the buzz surrounding this camera, video makers every where are eating up all the details that they can find. The most recent development comes courtesy of the Panasonics Japanese HVX200 site which has released that the camera will scan the CCD's natively at 1080/60P, not at 720/60P which would then have to be up-rezzed to 1080. If all this number soup has you a little confused, what it basically means for the user is better looking footage at 1080P and 1080i. If you want to read all the new details check out the translated Japanese site, though you may find a couple things lost in translation.[Via Camcorderinfo]
