Emmy Awards For Online Content

Get ready - it's about to get crazy. According to the Laura Holson from the New York Times, next Tuesday The National Academy for Arts and Sciences will announce that a new category will be made to recognize video content for computers, cell-phones, and hand-held devices - like the iPod and PSP.

This new category will debut at the next Sports Emmys presentation, but will also be added to news, documentary, business and financial reporting, and daytime television. No doubt that the studio big wigs will hold a claim to nominated content (must be content that hasn't been shown on TV), but I'm sure as the sun shines that there will be room for the newcomer... at least that's what videobloggers are hoping for. Let's go people!
