The pilot episode of the DV Guru Vodcast is finally here, and what a time it has been. We've been working on the format and program ideals since September, and now we're finally going to have a show. Mike asked for questions earlier, and we'd love to answer them on the Vodcast. This week, we take a look at some frame accurate editing tips, a brief overview of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro and all the latest news. Check it out in its 320x240 glory.Update: We're having some server issues, so I've temporarily posted the Vodcast on Blip.TV. As soon as our issues are solved, we'll post it with an RSS enclosure so you can subscribe. Check it, and let us know what you think in the comments!

1. During the whole "Premiere Pro vs. Final Cut Pro" segment I kept thinking, "What about Vegas?" I'm glad to see you'll be covering it in the next Vodcast. Everything in Vegas's interface is so practical. If I want to do something, I just do it, it doesn't even seem like I have to think about it much at all. When I have to use Premiere at school, I constantly find myself having to google for tutorials for the simplest of tasks. (I don't have any experience with Final Cut Pro, but it seems like a more enjoyable/fine-tuned version of Premiere's interface from what I can tell.) I don't feel constrained at all when using Vegas. For anything other than extreme motion graphics, if I can imagine it, I can do it. It's had HDV support before the other guys too. I'm glad you're showing it some love.
Unfortunately for the Apple devotes, it will likely be Windows only for a long time, since it's based on the .NET framework. That's the only disadvantage over the competition (though not for me) in my eyes.
