iTunes Music Store Hits One Million Downloads

The iTunes Music Store just hit one million downloads in less than a month.  In the 20 days since releasing the iPod with video, and the iTunes Video Store, Apple might have jumpstarted the pay-for-video movement, much like they jumpstarted the pay-for-audio movement. The top music video sellers include Michael Jackson, Fatboy Slim, and Kanye West, and on the shorter format video side, Pixar’s “For the Birds” and “Boundin’,” and episodes of “Lost” and “Desperate Housewives” reign supreme.  The clincher here is, we could be seeing a viable distribution channel online.
