Future of TV: The Internet

dailyshow.jpgHere at DVguru, we have spent a lot of time talking about the emerging trend of showing video content online. And rightfully so, it is a no-brainer to imagine the web will be a prominent medium alongside television, movies, DVD's. Well, it seems finally that some of the content owners (television channels and such) are finally seeing the light. Comedy Central will soon have their shows available online, well not all of it, I guess they are seeing part of the light. But that is ok because my beloved television show "The Daily Show" will be now available online. Anyways, ABC has some of the their content available on iTunes like Lost and Desperate Housewives, and you must have been on a different planet if you had not heard of the new video iPod. It seems like everybody is getting on the bandwagon. This CNET article showcases several sites that are trying to jump on this new phenomenon. If you were not convinced before, you will certainly be after you read it. If even that does not convince you, then the news of iTunes selling a million downloads in 20 days should!
