To certain degree, I am a little tired of the online coverage of the new video-able iPod. But there is so many useful links, it is hard to overlook it and not write about it. So here are what I hope the last mention of the iPod for at least a couple of days.
- Olie's iPod Converter (beta) -provides a simple and free way to convert your Quicktime compatible files to the .m4v iPod compatible format. (Mac)
- Podner ($9.95) - "Reformatting your movie collection into iPod-ready files is a cinch
with Podner. Just drag your movie files to the Podner window, tweak the
settings (if you want) then let Podner get to work." (Mac)
- MovieToGo (free) -
Simple batch processing application for converting QuickTime movies into iPod-friendly 320x240 H.264 movie files. (Mac)
- Apple iPod Tutorials - all kinds of information for all kinds of iPods.
- USBexporter (free) - utility to export movie files to iPod ready files. Makers of USBvision (find the link for USBexporter on this page).
- Arstechnica's tutorial "getting video on your iPod."
- Hardmac's "How to encode video for iPod without Quicktime Pro."
- Use Yahoo's Video search with iTunes so you can fill up your iPod with content. Pretty interesting.
So get your iPod's, convert your films, and carry around your video portfolio.
