Nero 7 Released with Both Blu-ray and HD-DVD Support

Nero has released version 7 of their popular burning and cataloging software. Version 7 features a number of new features including integrated Blu-ray and HD-DVD burning support, which clearly shows Nero has decided to play it safe in the format war by not throwing their support behind just one format. This is good news for the consumer who will be open to choose a format which suits them best while still being guaranteed support on the software end. The new software also now supports both 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound. Nero 7 also introduces an innovative piece of  software called Nero Home, which allows users to manage and access their growing media library through the TV. Nero 7 will run you $100 and is currently available from select retailers and will be up for download on the Nero site October 26th.
