The 64 Second Film Contest

64second.jpgTrying to get a job with Dreamworks? Well, maybe just trying to get a job in general? Then check out The 64 Second Film Contest. So I guess from the title, you figured out that the film has to be 64 seconds, it also has to deal with the subject of "Waitlessness" (as in weightlessness?). You have to submit online and the world wide web will decide who belongs in the top 25 and then a panel of judges will decide who wins from there. The winners will recieve a meeting with Dreamworks (I guess if they like you, then a job is offered?), digital media center PC and some software. The word job is never actually stated just implied but I am figuring the top prize being a sit-down with Dreamworks is not really that interesting unless there is something to come of it. And by the way, why is the opening splash intro for the website very similar to the intro to Resfest 2004. In 64 Seconds, the guy is floating away holding on to a PC-like baloon, he looks like the balloon is pulling him. In the wonderful Resfest intro, the guy is floating away holding onto a balloon but it is a totally different feel, the boy/ man seems to have no weight and is thus carried away. Maybe if you win the contest, you get the job of redoing the intro.
