HDforIndies.com has a report from one of its readers who is attending Resfest. For those not familiar with Resfest, it is one of my favorite festivals (a lot of focus on graphics) to attend but it also has a lot of camera and film-related companies come in and talk about their products or sometimes even introduce them at the festival. Anyways, the submitted report talks about Panasonic HVX200 (the not yet released prosumer HD cam) and the Canon XL H1 (not yet released HD cam). But the interesting thing to note is that when asked about the native chip in the HVX200, the Panasonic rep refused to answer the question. Weird. Will keep an eye to see if there are any changes. Also, want to point out that there have been times that reader submitted reports to HDforIndies.com have not been totally solid. And Mike who runs the site is always been first to acknowledge that.
